## Free scans and accounts

### Does the free scan require a card?

No. The free scan preview does not require a card. Anonymous scanning still works without an account.

### What's the difference between free and paid?

Free scans show a preview with the risk score, screenshot, summary, and top 3 issues. Paid plans unlock all issues, evidence, developer fixes, exports, API and MCP access, verification, compliance readiness reports, policy generator, and more depending on tier. Plans run from Starter through Enterprise.

No. Crawlfix provides the audit, evidence, fix recipes, AI-agent prompts, and verification tools. Your developer or AI coding agent makes the code changes. The Fix-All flow lets a coding agent step through every issue sequentially in one prompt.

### What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets AI tools connect to external context and tools. Crawlfix MCP lets your AI coding agent read your audits and get exact repair instructions. Pro and above plans include MCP access.

### Can I use it with Cursor or Claude Code?

Yes. Crawlfix MCP and API workflows are designed for Cursor, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Windsurf, and custom agents.

## Performance, compliance, and AI visibility

### Does Crawlfix measure Core Web Vitals?

Crawlfix provides lab performance estimates and LCP candidate analysis, but real Core Web Vitals require field data. We do not pretend lab estimates are the same as real-user data.

### Does Crawlfix check for compliance issues?

Yes. The compliance readiness module checks privacy policy presence, cookie consent implementation, CCPA and GDPR signal coverage, and accessibility surface. Starter and above plans can also generate Privacy, Cookie, Terms, and AUP policies.

### What is AI visibility checking?

Growth and above plans include per-engine AI visibility analysis across Perplexity, ChatGPT Search, Claude Web, Gemini, Copilot, and DuckAssist, plus a verified mentions and citations check.

## Agencies and analytics

### Can agencies use this for clients?

Yes. Agency-tier plans are designed for multiple domains, client reports, API access, MCP access, scheduled monitoring, and white-label exports.

### What counts as an analytics event?

An analytics event is a pageview, SPA route change, custom event, or conversion tracked by the Crawlfix analytics snippet. Consent preference records, blocked bot traffic, invalid site IDs, and duplicate retries do not count. The Free tier is capped at 2,500 events per month; once you hit the cap the snippet pauses quietly until the start of the next month.
